David Marek's "Somewhere West"

So… you want to make a movie? Wednesday August 24 at 6:30PM, Traverse City’s native son David Marek presents the making of Somewhere West, a narrative feature.
David will share the joys and sorrows of going mostly
 solo for pre, production and post. He’ll reveal how he kept the budget under $25,000, explain his iconoclastic approach to production and Signature Dissociative ™ editorial technique, show geeky gear solutions and much more. Our questions will drive his discussion so go ahead – ask him anything!
Michigan Movie Makers is open to anyone involved or interested in making movies – writers, producers, directors, actors, photographers, painters, musicians, singers, composers, dancers, choreographers, VFX and pyro techs, costumers, make-up artists, stylists, carpenters, fabricators, caterers, investors and even audience members.
We are the movie community / industry in Northwestern Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.
M3 meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm Traverse Area District Library, Traverse City, Michigan.
