Our livliest debate yet! CrossTalk North is a vigorous face-to-face debate on important local issues, and this week we have two very skilled debaters, both who made highly persuasive arguments on Proposal 3: should Michigan adopt a constitutional amendment that requires 25% of Michigan energy be sustainable by 2025? In favor is Stanley "Skip" Pruss, a former special adviser to former Governor Jennifer Granholm on renewable energy and a former deputy director for DEQ. Opposing the measure is Ken Sikkema, a former Senate Majority Leader and now senior consultant with Public Sector Consultants, a Michigan think tank. David Poinsett moderates the debate.
