What is a Producer?
A Producer is responsible for the entire production of a TV show. You provide the idea, shoot and edit the video, and submit it to us for cablecasting and web streaming. We provide equipment, training and support along the way.
Who Can Be a Producer?
Anyone can be a Producer. A non-profit organization can also be a Producer. Participation is completely free for people living in our participating jurisdictions. For those living outside the participating jurisdictions there is a $50 annual fee. Non-profit organizations pay a $100 annual fee.
How Do I Become a Producer?
Take a class. We have three basic classes depending on what you need or would like to do, and sometimes we have supplemental classes. Find out more about Producer classes here.
What Can My Show Be About?
Just about anything! An original drama or talk show to recording a local lecture or concert. There are restrictions on commercial and explicit content, and political advertising. Please see our Policies document and contact us to talk over your idea if you have questions.
