Become an Underwriter

The Northwest Michigan Community Media Center (CMC) seeks Underwriters to help generate programming for Up North 2 and associated on-demand Internet video. Underwriters are one of the keys to the creation of valuable new video content, educational courses, and equipment maintenance at the CMC. All Underwriters receive multiple on-air acknowledgements, providing increased exposure to a large number of cable subscribers throughout northwest lower Michigan. Contributions are tax deductible and demonstrate your commitment to the greater good of our community.

Types of Underwriting

• General Underwriter - Donations to CMC will be used to support general operations, including equipment maintenance and the development of educational classes. Donations of any size would be greatly appreciated. Please contact a CMC staff member to discuss the content and frequency of on-air acknowledgements associated with your donation.
• Production-Specific Underwriter - The CMC is working to support a number of individual Producers and nonprofit organizations as they develop new video content for cablecast on Up North 2. In many cases, production costs can be substantial (e.g., transportation, studio fees, set design). We seek donations to help underwrite some of these costs. Donations of any size can be directed to specific productions and will result in generous acknowledgements as part of the closing credits of the video production. Please contact a CMC staff member to discuss making a donation and the topic or theme of greatest interest.
