Become a Member

Everyone is invited to become a member of the Northwest Michigan Community Media Center (CMC).  Your membership and the fees paid will help to support everyone's right to free speech including the creation of valuable new video content, educational courses, and equipment maintenance at the CMC.

Membership Types

We offer three types of membership at the CMC:

• Individual - $50 per year
• Student - $25 per year (must have valid student ID)
• Non-Profit Organization - $100 per year.  To have your content cablecast on Up North 2, you must also register producer(s) for $25 per year each.

Membership Benefits

In addition to the satisfaction of supporting a good cause, all members will receive:

• Reduced tuition for all classes taught by the CMC
• A regular electronic newsletter
• A copy of our annual report
• The opportunity to attend special live event broadcasts from the CMC studio

Special Benefit: Producers who are also members receive the same no-cost access to CMC equipment and facilities as those who live within a contributing municipality.

Membership Term

Memberships run from July 1 to June 30 of the following year.  If you sign up on or after January 1, pay half of the specified membership fee for the current membership year (until June 30).
